A Short History of Our Company

Josh Hull, owner of Hull Forest Products grew up on a sawmill in Two Harbors, MN.  When he was a young boy he dreamed of owning his own skidder.  After joining the U.S. Army Reserves at age 17 and serving 3 tours of duty in Afghanistan, Josh returned home looking for a line of work that he could be passionate about while at the same time being an active husband and father. He found what he was looking for when he met Tom McCabe, owner of McCabe Forest Products.

    Tom McCabe and Josh Hull immediately clicked and it wasn't long after he hired him that Tom knew he wanted Josh long term.  Within three years, the two of them had constructed, and carried out, a business arrangement with the idea that Hull would purchase McCabe Forest Products.

    Hull Forest Products became the third generation of a logging company started by Tom McCabe Sr and continued by his son Tom McCabe. Prior to the changeover in 2013 the company was known as McCabe Forest Products.

    In the years that followed, Hull Forest Products continued the traditions established in the generations that came before

by continuing to adapt to market conditions and landowner needs. Equipment has changed with updated technology and processes yet the underlying reputation of clean, courteous, and honest workmanship continues today.
